Do you want to spend a full day in Italy wiithout taking an airplane? Here comes the first ITALIA DAY of Naha, at the cozy and cool Books Café & Hall ゆかるひ (Yukaruhi, ‘Good day’ in Okinawan language), a FREE event in the very center of the city (a side street of Kokusai-dori). From the morning to nighttime a rich program: several cooking classes held by Italian chefs, photo exhibition and slide show, movies, music, games, antique market, food and Italian products for sale. Plus some secret show… Don’t miss this unique opportunity, we wait for you. CIAO!

PARKING: The café has not a private parking, but there’s a coin parking round the corner. Kencho-mae monorail station is 5 minutes away by foot.
Not one, but THREE different cooking classes (morning, afternoon, evening) available during the event!
ITALIA DAY – PROGRAM
11 a.m. – opening + cooking class tagliatelle al ragù (until 1 p.m., Pietro)
1-2 p.m. – lunch (food sale; available all day long)
2-3 p.m. – cooking class sfrappole (Bologna’s carnival sweet, chef Goya)
3-5 p.m. – cooking class penne ai porcini (Yoco)
5-7 p.m. – cooking class ravioli (Pietro)
Anytime – Romano’s acrobatic pizza show (5-10 minutes, probably after 3 p.m. when he’ll close his shop; if possible between a cooking class and another)
7-9 p.m. – music show (to be confirmed); dinner (food sale)
9 p.m. – closing
ACTIVITIES:
– Cooking classes (near the kitchen)
– Food sale (all day long, near the kitchen, Pietro and maybe Goya; Pietro Sartogo to be confirmed, most probably NO)
– Italian books display (in the books room)
– Market (shows room, by the walls): Italian antique and vintage, handicrafts, Christmas (Satoko); one table for Italian food products (Pietro); one table for John the Cheese Guy; maybe one table for La Passione olive oil
– Games table (shows room, centre): card games (Tressette) and shanghai/mikado
– Music corner: a table with Italian vinyls and player (shows room)
– Shows: acrobatic pizza (near the kitchen); Italian music (stage, to be confirmed)
– Photo exhibition: photos of Italy on the walls of both rooms + decorations
– Slideshow: projection of photos of Italy (shows room)
– Movies: projection of Italian movies (shows room)
– Italian music on CDs: books room/kitchen
– Charity boxes: for Italy’s earthquake and for Okinawa’s stray cats

The event is FREE and there’s no need of booking.
